The Plantation Directorate organized a meeting to present the IIM study report to stakeholders in the plantation sector. The event, held on November 27, 2024, was convened by the Industries Minister, Shri. P. Rajeeve, who emphasized the government's commitment to revitalizing the plantation industry. The Principal Secretary of Industries, Shri. APM Mohammed Hanish IAS, and representatives from IIM Kozhikode presented key insights from the report, highlighting challenges such as fluctuating commodity prices, labor shortages, and the impacts of climate change, while proposing actionable solutions.
Mr. Ajoy Thipaiah, Vice-President of UPASI, and Mr. Sanjith R., Secretary-General of UPASI, participated in the meeting.
