The second edition of Plantation Expo was conducted at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Ground, Kochi from 20.01.2024 to 22.01.2024. The Expo was organized by the Directorate of Plantations, with the support of Association of Planters of Kerala. Honourable Minister Shri. P. Rajeeve, inaugurated the ‘Kerala Plantation Expo – 2024.
The Plantation Directorate organized a meeting to present the IIM study report to stakeholders in the plantation sector. The event, held on November 27, 2024, was convened by the Industries Minister, Shri P. Rajeeve, who emphasized the government's commitment to revitalizing the plantation industry. The Principal Secretary of Industries, Shri. APM Mohammed Hanish IAS, and representatives from IIM Kozhikode presented key insights from the report, highlighting challenges such as fluctuating commodity prices, labor shortages, and the impacts of climate change, while proposing actionable solutions.
